Filmmaker Mani Ratnam is busy wrapping up Karthi-starrer "Kaatru Veliyidai", which is inching closer to completion and is currently being shot in Leh.

According to reliable sources, with the completion of the latest schedule, the principal shooting of the film will be wrapped up.

Ratnam plans to complete the entire film including the post-production work by the end of this year and plans to release the film next year around February.

Over the last week or so, crucial action portions from the film are being shot in Leh, and it features Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari. Contrary to reports, this film is not a feel good entertainer a la OK Kanmani, but will be a romantic-thriller with some of edge-of-the-seat action episodes.

Popular stunt choreographer Sham Kaushal is overseeing the action sequences which are being shot in Leh and in some key parts of Kashmir.

It’s the second time after Dil Se that the veteran filmmaker will be shooting in Ladakh.

Also starring RJ Balaji, Shraddha Srinath and Delhi Ganesh, the project features music by A.R. Rahman and cinematography by Ravi Varma.

The film will be dubbed and released in Telugu, and the theatrical rights have already been snapped by popular producer Dil Raju.
