Mani Ratnam’s project with Ram Charan back on track

Written by : TNM

Filmmaker Mani Ratnam, who awaits the release of Kaatru Veliyidai, is most likely to team up with Ram Charan next for a bilingual project. Although he had met the Magadheera actor long back and even pitched a story, things didn’t quite materialize as one would have expected. However, things are finally falling in place and good news awaits Ram Charan’s fans. Even in a few of his recent interviews, Ram Charan confirmed that a project with Mani Ratnam is in discussion stage.

Ram Charan, meanwhile, will begin work on his next project with Sukumar from the third week of March. He teams up with Samantha in this rural-based romantic drama. This means Mani Ratnam’s project might only take off towards the end of the year or even early next year.

If this project happens, it will mark the debut of Ram Charan in Kollywood. It has to be seen whether the film will be simultaneously made in Tamil or get dubbed as usual.

There were also reports that Ratnam and Karthi, having worked together in Kaatru Veliyidai, are planning to collaborate again. However, very little information is available on this project.
