Written by : TNM

Ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam recently completed the first schedule of Kaatru Veliyidai in Ooty. The movie which features Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari in the titular roles, is tipped to be a romantic drama set against the backdrop of Kashmir.

The team will now head to Kashmir for the next schedule by the end of this month, where they will be canning the major portions of the film.

Karthi plays the role of a romantic pilot who, while on his trip to India, falls in love with Aditi Rao Hydari. For the most part, actor Karthi will be sporting a clean-shaven look and he will also be seen with a stubble in some important scenes.

The film, which is produced by Mani Ratnam’s Madras Talkies, has music by A R Rahman and Ravi Varman is cranking the camera. Being simultaneously made in Tamil and Telugu, the film is likely to release by the end of this year.
