Mamta Mohandas joins Kunchacko Boban in 'Johny Johny Yes Appa'

Johny Johny Yes Appa, the Malayalam movie starring Kunchacko Boban and Mamta Mohandas, is progressing at a good pace. The film is being directed by G Marathandan and will bring back the lead pair together on the silver screen after a gap of seven years.

Speaking about Mamta’s role in it, the film's scriptwriter Joji Thomas sad in an interview to the Times of India, “Mamta’s is an important role in the movie, one that ties all the other characters. In a way, she’s heart and soul of the film. A few of her portions will be filmed in Kochi and rest near Ettumanoor.”

Touted to be a comedy entertainer, the film has Anu Sithara, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Vijayaraghavan and Geeta as the supporting cast. While Shaan Rahman is composing music for this venture, Vinod Illampally will be the cinematographer. 

Kunchacko Boban has a number of films coming up this year, including Sou Sadandan's Mangalyam Thanthunanenaand Allu Ramendranbesides the untitled Lal Jose-Sindhuraj film.

The last time Kunchacko Boban and Mamta Mohandas had shared screen space was in the 2011 thriller, Race. Directed by Kukku Srendran, the film was based on the novel 24 Hours by Greg Iles. 

Mamta Mohandas was last seen in the Fahadh Faasil starrer Carbon earlier this year. She currently has Neeli in the post production stage and 9, in which she will be seen with Prithviraj Sukumaran. Besides these Malayalam films, she also has a couple of Tamil projects that include Oomai Vizhigaland Ulle Veliye 2.
