Jayaram made his acting debut with the Malayalam film Aparan in 1988 and since then has been lucky enough to bag some prestigious projects. While he predominantly starred in Malayalam films, Jayaram also got to star in a few Tamil films that had him in memorable roles.

Apart from Bhagmati, he has a couple of films in his kitty including the Venkat Prabhu directorial Party.
