Mahesh Babu keeps his word, visits adopted village Burripalem

Written by : TNM

Superstar Mahesh Babu on Sunday visited his native place Burripalem after a decade, much to the surprise of the townsfolk. Last year, soon after the release of Srimanthudu, Mahesh adopted Burripalem which happens to be the birthplace of his father G. Krishna, former legendary Telugu actor.

He had promised last year while adopting the town that he’ll visit the place soon and upon completion of his upcoming release Brahmotsavam, he visited the place with his brother-in-law. Mahesh Babu will spend Rs 2.14 crore for various developmental programmes for the village.

Upon Mahesh’s arrival, people of the town organized special programmes and gave the Pokkiri star a red carpet welcome. Sources revealed that Mahesh spent a few hours with the people and enquired about all their problems. He promised that he will attend to their problems at the earliest and also assured them that he will visit as and when he finds time.

Last year, besides Mahesh, popular character artist Prakash Raj also adopted a village in Telangana. However, there’s been no update since he made the announcement.

Mahesh, meanwhile, will complete dubbing on Brahmotsavam and will take a brief break, before he starts working on his next project with A.R Murugadoss.
