Lyca Production, that is currently awaiting the release of their magnum opus 2.0 starring Super Star Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar directed by Shankar has acquired Dhanush's Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon.

The film which was wrapped up in the month of September this year was planned as a Diwali release, to clash with Vijay's Sarkar. Gautham Menon took to Twitter to announce the completion of the project and also confirmed that it was gearing up for Diwali release. However, things did not materialise.

After facing several setbacks over the course of the last two years Lyca Productions's involvement has come as a big relief for the team. The film has been struggling to hit the screens due to some financial issues involving the producer.

Lyca Production has now acquired the film for a budget of Rs 20 crores. Jointly produced by Gautham Menon and Escape Artist Madhan, one of the reasons for the long time taken to complete the project is that producer Madan, who had bankrolled Dhanush's Kodi, hadn't cleared his remuneration for a long time and the latter gave up on the project.

The film has Dhanush and Megha Akash playing the lead pair is banked as campus-based action thriller. Megha Akash plays the leading lady and this project was supposed to mark her debut, but she already has a few projects to her credit.

It has M Sasi Kumar and Sunaina in pivotal roles. Baahubali star Rana Daggubati will be seen making a cameo appearance in Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta. Darbuka Siva is the music composer for this flick, while the camera has been handled by Manoj Pramahamsa and Jomon T John. Praveen Anthony is the editor of this film.

It must be noted that earlier this year Lyca Production acquired the distribution rights of Vikram’s Dhruva Natchathiram bankrolled by Gautham's Ondraga which was stuck on floors for longer than expected.
