‘Lucifer’ team spotted at Adimalathura Beach in Thiruvananthapuram

Prithiviraj’s maiden directorial Lucifer is turning out to be huge in terms of the production cost. The film has an impressive lineup of stars in the cast and judging by the shooting that has been happening in various places, it is evident that the film is being made on a large-scale budget. Recently, the Lucifer team was spotted at the Adimalathura Beach in Thiruvananthapuram where the entire star cast had assembled. Also, there were about 5000 supporting artistes and 100 vehicles used for the filming.

Mohanlal plays the lead role in the film. Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas and Saniya Iyappan also play important roles. Veteran director Fazil, Prithviraj’s brother Indrajith Sukumaran and Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi are also part of the star cast.  If sources are anything to go by Mohanlal will be seen playing a politician and he will be essaying a character named Stephen Nadumballi in this much-awaited movie.

The shooting of Lucifer began on July 18th with plans to shoot extensively at different locations in Thiruvananthapuram, Mumbai and Kuttikkanam. The technical crew of the film includes Sujith Vaassudev for cinematography and Samjith for editing. The film has been scripted by actor-writer Murali Gopy. Anthony Perumbavoor is bankrolling the film under his banner Aashirvad Films.

While the shooting of Lucifer is still under progress, we hear that Prithviraj’s maiden production venture 9 will be out at the theatres on November 16th. Directed by Jenuse Mohammed, the film is produced by Prithviraj Productions in association with SPE Films India. Interestingly, it marks Sony Pictures Entertainment’s entry into the Malayalam film industry.

Shaan Rahman will be composing the songs of 9, while the background score will be done by Sekhar Menon, DJ cum actor who appeared in films such Da Thadiya and Ezhu Sundara Rathrikal. Abinandhan Ramanujam is cranking the camera for this venture while Shameer Mohammed is the editor.
