Written by : TNM

The News Minute | April 2, 2015 | 8:00 pm. ISTWhen rumours began that famous comedian Louis CK was coming to India, it got a lot of spirits up in the country.A possibility that began doing the rounds on social medai towards the end of March, it dawned on a lot of people that the rumour could have been an April Fools' Day joke. However, interestingly, the website which had contained news of this India visit, soon took on a different identity. Here’s a screenshot of the website explaining that the Louis CK tour of India was a prank. The page, however, goes on to talk about censorship and saying that there was no way there could have been a show like that without needing to deal with morality issues.“DONT WE INDIANS UNDERSTAND THAT WE JUST CANNOT ALLOW “WESTERNINFLUUENCES “ INTO OUR SOCIETY?“THIS IS NOT 'MURRICA”“IDHAR YEH SAB NAHI CHALEGA”Hitting out at recent events like the AIB roast which was cut down from 2 hours to just 40 minutes… the written rant goes on to touch upon other issues like the beef ban and the censorship on films.
