'Kolamaavu Kokila' to release as 'Co Co Kokila' in Telugu

Kolamaavu Kokila, starring the Lady Superstar Nayanthara in the title role, hit the silver screens on August 17 to positive reviews. While movie buffs are raving about the film, especially Nayan’s performance in it, celebs like director Shankar and Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar have been posting positive comments on the social networking sites.

Director S Shankar took to Twitter to post this about the movie: “Kolamaavu Kokila- An interesting, humorous, kudumba-crime drama. Nayanthara-calm, effective n classy. Each character shines in its own way.Anirudh rocks with “Gun-in Kadhal” at the right places.Director Nelson surprises with a fresh approach. Well written and satisfying.”

With a good box office record, the film’s Telugu dubbed version is set for release on August 31. Lyca Production will be presenting the film to the Tollywood audience on a grand scale. The Telugu version has been titled Co Co Kokila. With Nayan enjoying a big fan base in Tollywood, it is sure to be a grand success.

Released on August 17 to packed houses, Kolamaavu Kokila’s first-day box office collections stood at Rs 3.50 crores and the collections soared over the weekend.

Kolamaavu Kokila is directed Nelson Dilipkumar and bankrolled by A Subhashkaran under the banner Lyca Productions. The film has an interesting line up of star cast with comedian Yogi Babu playing a character that woos Nayanthara. The film also has Saranya Ponvannan, Hareesh Peradi and Aranthangi Nisha playing the supporting roles.

Anirudh is the music composer for this flick and the single, 'Kalyana Vayasu', filmed on Yogi Babu and Nayanthara, turned out to be an instant chartbuster on its release. Siva Kumar Vijayan cranked the camera for this venture with Nirmal editing it.

Kolamaavu Kokila is a film that centers on Nayanthara who unwittingly gets into the clutches of the smugglers and how she gets over it. The film is a smash in Kollywood and has Nayan’s fans in awe over her performance.
