‘Kirik Party’ fame Rashmika Mandanna signs two Telugu films

Rashmika Mandanna shot to fame with the Kannada film Kirik Party and has been bagging some of the best projects in Sandalwood since then. Recently, the actor has also signed up two Telugu films and is in talks for a couple more projects.

According to reports, Rashmika has bagged the lead role in the Arjun Reddy fame Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming film which will be directed by Parasuram and Naga Shaurya’s maiden home production titled Chalo. Naga Shourya will be seen sporting a new look in this film and the film has the music by Sagar Mahathi.

According to reports, cinematographer Sai Sriram, who will be making his directorial debut soon has also decided to cast Rashmika Manadanna in his upcoming film after being impressed with her performance in Chalo.

Rashmika Mandanna began her career as a model and then went on to build her career as a heroine. Her first film Kirik Party, which released last year, was a big hit and the actor also met her fiancé Rakshit Shetty, the lead star in the film, on the sets of this film.

Rashmika and Rakshit got engaged in July this year and their wedding is slated to take place next year.

Kirik Party was not only a grand success in terms of box office collections but also went on to win numerous prestigious awards such as the Filmfare South and the Karnataka State Film Awards. Rashmika had also won the SIIMA Award for Best Debut Actress for her role in the film.

Apart from the Telugu films, Rashmika also has a couple of Kannada movies in her kitty. She will be seen sharing the screen space with Puneeth Rajkumar in Anjani Putra, which is directed by A Harsha and in the Ganesh starrer Chamak for which Suni is wielding the megaphone.
