After a gap of almost two decades, actor Kiccha Sudeep and director Sunil Kumar Desai are set to team up for a new project. However, instead of acting, Sudeep will be doing the voice-over for Udhgarsha, Sunil Kumar Desai’s upcoming project.

Sudeep, who made his debut in V Umakanth’s Thayavva, considers Sunil Kumar Desai as his mentor since it was his Sparsha that put him on the road map to become a top star. The actor-director duo had worked on Prathyathra before Sparsha.

Udhgarsha, which will have Sudeep doing the voice-over will be released in four languages – Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu. The actor will be doing the voice over in English so that it can be retained in all the languages.

Starring Thakur Anoop Singh as the male lead, Udhgarsha has Sai Dhansika will mark her Sandalwood debut by sharing the screen space with him as his heroine. The Kabali actor had told in an interview to the Times of India much earlier that it was nice to finally do a Kannada film. “I like the story and the team is good. Delivering Kannada dialogues, surprisingly, wasn't too tough for me, for I find the language very similar to Telugu. I'm looking forward to expanding my horizon and see how the Kannada industry treats me,” she was quoted as saying.

The movie, with the tagline ‘Battle at its peak’, is made under the banner D-Creations and also stars Tanya Hope, Kishore, Vamsi Krishna, Shraddha Das. Harshika Poonacha makes a guest appearance in this movie whose music is composed by Sanjay Chowdary.

However, this is not the first time Sudeep is doing a voice-over. He has lent his voice before for films like Katari Veera Surasundarangi, Sangoli Rayanna, Shravani Subramanya, Aryan, Haggada Kone, Ricky, Jai Maruthi 800, Chakravyuha, Raaga and Bharatipura Cross.
