'KGF' director Prashanth Neel to direct Prabhas?

Director Prashanth Neel is basking in glory after his recent Kannada release KGF doing well at the box office. The film starred Yash in the lead role and released in five languages – Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam to positive reviews. Following its success, top producers in Tollywood, V Vamshi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati of UV Creations are looking forward to rope in the director for their upcoming production venture. Sources in the know say that the director’s debut in the Telugu film industry will be with this project. On the hero to be roped in, we hear that it will be Prabhas. Official word about the development of this project should take some time to come out.

Meanwhile, Prabhas is busy wrapping up his magnum opus Saaho. The film is directed by Sujeeth and bankrolled by V. Vamshi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati under the banner UV Creations on a budget of Rs 300 crore. Its star cast also includes Neil Nitin Mukesh, Lal, Arun Vijay, Mandira Bedi, Jackie Shroff, Vennela Kishore, Mahesh Manjrekar and Chunkey Pandey in supporting roles. While Prabhas plays the male lead in this action entertainer, sharing the screen space with him as his heroine is Shraddha Kapoor. The technical crew of Saaho includes Shankar – Ehsaan – Loy for composing music with R Madhi cranking the camera and A Sreekar Prasad editing. It is a trilingual that will be
released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

The star will be joining the sets of his new film with director Radha Krishna Kumar. The official pooja of this film happened a few months ago and the director is busy with the prep work to get it on to the floors. Following Prabhas’ pan Indian appeal, it will be made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, we hear.
