Keerthy Suresh joins the sets of 'Manmadhudhu 2'

The shooting of Manmadhudu 2 is under progress and the latest update about this film is that Keerthy Suresh has joined the sets. The actor had wrapped up the shooting of the magnum opus Markkar: Arabikadalinte Simham in which she shares the screen space with the Malayalam superstar Mohanlal. This historical has gone into the post-production mode and will hit the marquee early next.

Coming back to Manmadhudu 2, Nagarjuna plays the lead role in this romantic entertainer which also has Rakul Preet Singh in the star cast. According to reports, both Keerthy Suresh as well as Rakul Preet Singh will be seen as his love interest in this flick. Interestingly, Nag’s daughter-in-law Samantha will be making a guest appearance in it and has shot for her portions already. The major portion of this film is being shot at some picturesque locations in Europe as the story is set there.

Manmadhudu 2 is being directed by Rahul Ravindran of Chi La Sow fame. Sources in the know say that Nagarjuna chose Rahul Ravindran to wield the megaphone for the sequel after he was impressed with the director’s debut directorial Chi La Sow. Those in the supporting roles include  Vennela Kishore, Rao Ramesh, Nassar, Lakshmi, Devadarshini, Jhansi, etc. Chaithan Bharadwaj is composing music for this romantic comedy. The film will be bankrolled jointly by Nag’s Manam enterprises and P Kiran’s Anandi Art Creations. 

Manmadhudu, a 2002 rom-com, had Akkineni Nagarjuna in the lead role and he had bankrolled the venture under his home banner Annapurna Studios. The film was a big hit in his career and after all these years, a sequel to it is being made. It may be noted here that Manmadhudu was directed by Vijaya Bhaskar with its story, screenplay and dialogues penned by the ace director Trivikram Srinivas.
