Kaaka Muttai director to remake a Hollywood film

Written by : TNM

National award-winning filmmaker M. Manikandan, most popular for making a smashing debut with Kaaka Muttai, has acquired the remake rights of a popular Hollywood movie.

While promoting his latest release Kutrame Thandanai, he spilled the beans about the film, which he intends to work on next year. Although he hasn’t disclosed the name of the film or details regarding the same, he assured that it will be a very interesting project.

Manikandan also awaits the release of his film Aaandavan Kattalai featuring Vijay Sethupathi and Irudhi Suttru fame Ritika Singh in the lead. Unlike his first two films, this one is bound by some commercial trappings. Nevertheless, he promises that it will appeal to both critics and audiences alike and will also cement his career as a commercial filmmaker.

His next film will be bankrolled by Eros International. Titled Kadaisi Vivasayi, it will feature a 70-year-old man in the lead.
