Written by : TNM Staff

Jyothika, who awaits the release of Kaatrin Mozhi that is scheduled to hit the screens this Friday, has revealed that her next would be with Dream Warrior Pictures. This movie will be the production house's 21st venture.

Tentatively titled as Dream Warrior Pictures 21 the film will be helmed by debut director S Raj. The film’s inauguration puja was done on Wednesday and it was announced that the shooting would commence from November 16.

While Jyothika will be seen playing the film’s protagonist, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Sathyan, Hareesh Peradi and Kavitha Bharathi are part of the film’s star cast.

It was also revealed during the ceremony that an elaborate school set is being erected in Chennai for this film.

Composer Sean Rolden has been roped in for music while Gokul Benoy will take care of the film’s cinematography. Philomin Raj has been brought on board for editing and Pawal Kumar for art direction.

The film is being produced by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu of Dream Warrior Pictures, who are currently producing Suriya’s Nandha Gopala Kumaran, directed by Selvaraghavan.

Dream Warrior Pictures’ last venture was Arun Prabhu’s Aruvi. They also have an untitled project starring Sibi and Andrea and Leena Manimekalai's The Sunshine.

Jyothika, who was last seen in Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, expects to do more meaningful roles in her “second innings” as she calls it.

“I don’t plan my films. Most of the films I do are ones that are coming to me. Also, these films are male directed, male written films. So, the whole idea crops from the head of a man. What I want minimum in my films is that women should walk out feeling very proud,” she said recently in an interview to TNM.

The actor also spoke about working with Lakshmi Manchu in Kaatrin Mozhi. “I enjoyed working with Lakshmi Manchu a lot. After a long time I had such very nice, powerful scenes with a woman and I really loved the way she acted. She didn’t need to act, she is that character in real life. She’s confident, brilliant. The way she carries herself you feel ‘oh god, can I match up to her’? And we both are moms. She had her kid on the sets and I had mine,” she said.
