When it was announced several weeks ago that Tollywood star Jr NTR would be hosting season one of Bigg Boss – Telugu version, his fans went berserk with joy.

Finally, the show went on air and the first week itself proved that Bigg Boss is turning out to be a grand success. The launch episode is reported to have recorded 16.2 TVR which isn’t a mean achievement and this proves that the show is an instant hit among the television viewers.

As per reports from the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) about 5.2 crore viewers have watched the first episode alone. This is indeed a new record that would be difficult for other such shows to break in the near future.

There are reports that STAR Maa is back to the number one spot with the show being an instant hit. It is not just the audiences and fans that are raving about the way he is hosting the show but his contemporaries like Nagarjuna as well. In fact, Nag was so open about his appreciation that he took to Twitter to post his congratulatory message.

With his television debut turning out to be a massive success, Jr NTR and his fans are extremely happy. Meanwhile, the star is busy with his film assignments as well. His Jai Lava Kusa is progressing at a brisk pace with filmmakers deciding on September 21 as the release date.

Directed by KS Ravindra, the film is produced by Kalyan Ram under his banner NTR Arts. Jai Lava Kusa will have Jr NTR appearing in three different roles. Interestingly, the star will be sporting completely different looks for all the three get-ups.
