Written by : TNM Staff

Director Teja of Jayam fame, who recently tasted success with Nene Raju Nene Manthri (NRNM), is planning to cast actor Jr NTR in the biopic of his grandfather - popular actor and politician NT Rama Rao. However, Jr NTR’s role in the film is yet to be announced.

NTR’s son Balakrishna, also an actor-politician will play the star in the biopic. The film is slated to release on May 28 – NTR’s birthday.

Balakrishna was reportedly impressed with Teja’s NRNM which was a political drama and asked him to direct the biopic.

According to reports, Teja is planning to include all the family members of NTR at least in brief roles in the film, to give it a touch like Manam – the 2014 tribute film to Nageswara Rao, which starred Nagarjuna, Nagachaitanya, Samantha and other family members.

However, it will be interesting if both Balakrishna and Jr. NTR will agree to it. Both uncle and nephew have reportedly developed huge differences and are not in talking terms for many years now.

It is also learnt that the film will also see the debut of Balakrishna’s son Mokshagna, who will be playing the younger version of his grandfather, reported Great Andhra.

Talking to Deccan Chronicle, Teja told, “I am presently busy with the script work.” He added that he will also plan a film with actor Venkatesh.

The report also stated that the film crew has hired a casting agency to choose actors suitable for the roles in the film.

The film is jointly produced by Balakrishna, Vishnu Induri and Sai Korapati.
