The Kannada movie War and Peace, starring Chirantha in the lead, is touted to be a complete action entertainer. The film’s story is based on martial arts, revolving around boxing. Apparently, the lead star will be playing a struggling boxer. Prakyath Gowda, a newbie, is wielding the megaphone for this venture.

Reports indicate that the team is planning on roping in Jagapathi Babu for a pivotal role. On this, the film’s director reportedly told Cinema Express in an interview, “The production is in touch with Jagapathi Babu, who perfectly fits the role of a coach. We hope to have him on board.”

Meanwhile, Jagapathi Babu is busy playing the baddie in the upcoming Darshan starrer Roberrt. The film is being helmed by Tharun Sudhir. The shooting for this film began at the Kanteerava Studio in Bengaluru last month and the first schedule has been planned for 45 days.

Jagapathi Babu was last seen in the Tamil film NGK which has Suriya in the lead. He also has the Hindi movie Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior, Kannada film Uppi Rupee, which has Upendra in the lead, and Chiranjeevi’s Telugu film Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy in his kitty.

On roping in Chirantha for the lead role, Prakyath said, “He has been trained in martial arts. In my film, he plays a big fan of Muhammad Ali. How his idol inspires him in his life is the theme of War and Peace.” Rani Warad and Anagha have been roped in to play the female leads in this film.

Santhosh Kumar J is producing War and Peace under his banner. Gummeneni Vijay, a former assistant to veteran music composer Arjun Janya, will be scoring the music and debutant Karthik J Kiran is the cinematographer for this film.
