Baahubali – the Beginning hit the marquee on July 10th, 2015 but the ball was set rolling for it much before that.

Director SS Rajamouli announced that he will be directing the magnum opus with Prabhas in the lead in February 2011.

During a recent interview to Anupama Chopra, Prabhas had said that he wouldn’t have agreed to the project, if not for SS Rajamouli.

He was quoted as saying, “It’s all because of Rajamouli and his work, passion and his standards. Without him, we wouldn’t have done it. It wouldn’t have been possible. Every 10 days, he excites us with some visual, film script. He tries to change and make it better. He is behind all of us continuing to do it for four years.”

Baahubali – The Conclusion, the film’s sequel, is all set to hit the silver screens on April 28, 2017. The film’s post production is happening right now.

Starring Prabhas as Baahubali, the magnum opus also has Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tammannah, and Sathyaraj in the star cast.

MM Keeravani has composed music for this flick.
