Bollywood actor Shraddha Kapoor has finally signed on the dotted line to star opposite Prabhas in Saaho. The news of Shraddha joining the team was announced by production house UV Creations on Twitter on Tuesday.

While this will be Shraddha’s debut in Telugu, Prabhas is not new to working with Bollywood actors. He previously starred with Kangana Ranaut in Puri Jagganadh’s Ek Niranjan.

Saaho is Prabhas’s first upcoming project since his meteoric ride to national fame with the superhit Baahubali franchise.

The makers of the film had taken a long time finalising the female lead, but had already released a one-minute teaser for the film in both Hindi and Telugu. The teaser had hit screens alongside the release of Baahubali: The Conclusion in a bid to cash in on Prabhas’s image from the successful franchise.

The teaser has gone viral, receiving nearly 22 lakh views across its Hindi and Telugu versions.

Saaho is being directed by Sujeeth of Run Raja Run fame, and features music by Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy and cinematography by R Madhie.

The filmmakers had earlier announced that the film will be released simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam in 2018.
