Written by : TNM

The much anticipated Chiyaan Vikram-starrer Iru Mugan, which also stars Nayanthara and Nithya Menen will finally hit the screens on September 1, a day before the release of Dhanush starrer “Thodari”.

The makers who had originally planned to release the film in August have now postponed it to September.

Directed by Anand Shankar, Iru Mugan is tipped to be a high-octane action thriller. The film features Vikram in the role of an international spy as well as a transgender.

The producer of the film Shibu Thameens has officially announced that Iru Mugan will hit the screens on September 1, while the censor board is expected to review the film by the final week of August.

The Tamil theatrical rights have been acquired by Auraa Cinemas, who are planning to release the film in more than 500 screens worldwide. And if reports are anything to go by, the Chennai rights of the film have been acquired by Jazz Cinema, who recently released "Kabali".
