Pyaar Prema Kaadhal is an upcoming urban love story starring Harish Kalyan and Raiza Wilson in lead roles, directed by Elan who had previously helmed Graghanam, a supernatural thriller starring Krishna and Chandra. Pyaar Prema Kaadhal is produced by Yuvan Shankar Raja in association with Rajarajan of K productions. The audio launch happened in the city on Sunday.

With Yuvan Shankar Raja himself composing the music for the film and it being his first production venture, the audio was launched by his father, the legendary music composer Ilaiyaraaja.

Speaking at the launch, Yuvan said, “I have composed for more than 120 films so far, but my father has not come for any of the audio launches. He always says I will not come and promote you. Since I am venturing into production, he agreed to come to this event. It’s been a long time since I decided to produce films and finally it has happened now. We have added some perkiness to the film, which will have some shades of Arjun Reddy.”

While speaking at the audio launch function, Ilaiyaraaja said, “I have come here out of love for Pyaar Prema Kaadhal. This is the first time I am coming for Yuvan’s event, not for his musical avatar, but for his production venture.” He also advised upcoming music directors to avoid electronic instruments and use real instruments.

The well-cut two-minute trailer of Pyaar Prema Kaadhal sets the tone for the film quite well. It has garnered one million views online within three day of its release and gone viral across the globe.

The movie, expected to release soon, is set in the backdrop of a city. Harish plays the role of Sree, an innocent middleclass Chennai boy who loves social media, and Raiza will be seen as an outgoing girl whom Harish falls in love with.

Interestingly, Zafroon Nizar, Yuvan Shankar Raja’s wife, is making her debut as costume designer and Raja Bhattacharjee will be the man behind the camera. The hype surrounding the film makes it one of the most expected films in the coming days.
