I have not been approached for Ajith's ‘Viswasam’: Nivin Pauly denies reports

Written by : Digital Native

There have been enough speculations that Nivin Pauly has been approached to play an important role in Thala Ajith’s upcoming film Viswasam, which will be directed by Siva, but the actor has denied it.

During a media interaction following his recent Tamil film, Richie, Nivin said, “No one from the team has approached me yet. But, I would love to act with all top stars from the Tamil film industry and Mohanlal and Mammootty in Malayalam."

He also added, "The Tamil industry is a very big industry, when we see it from where I come from. Many actors in Malayalam wish to come here and work,” said Nivin Pauly.

The film had a low-profile launch last week in Chennai. Ajith joins hands with director Siva for the fourth consecutive time after Veeram, Vedalam and Vivegam. Following the debacle of Vivegam, there were reports that Ajith and Siva might take a break and work on a different combination. But, they’ve reunited once again to prove all those who mocked the failure of Vivegam wrong.

According to sources from the film's camp, Viswasam will be made entirely different from Vivegam. Unlike the international backdrop of Vivegam, Viswasam will be having a huge rural backdrop and Thala Ajith can be seen as a villager in the film. It is also said Ajith is planning to bid goodbye to his salt 'n' pepper look for the film.

While the cast and crew are yet to be locked for Viswasam, Yuvan Shankar Raja has been roped in to compose music for the film. His hits with Ajith include Dheena, Billa, Mankatha and more. This will be Yuvan Shankar Raja’s seventh association in a film starring Ajith Kumar after their previous outing Arrambam, which released in 2013. Prior to this, Anirudh Ravichander was in charge of the music for Vivegam and Vedalam.

Sathya Jyothi Films, the makers of Vivegam, will produce Thala 58 on a relatively low budget to offset the losses incurred on their latest venture. The principal shooting of the film is expected to begin in January 2018, with the makers eyeing a Diwali 2018 release.
