Written by : TNM

Tollywood actor Chiranjeevi staged a comeback after a decade with Khaidi No 150, as a hero. Released on Sankranti last month, the film turned out to be a huge success at the box office, as expected.

This has raised several speculations about the star’s pay for acting in the magnum opus.

Enquiries revealed that Chiranjeevi was not paid anything until now, but with the film’s grand success, he will be pocketing Rs. 33 crore, which is said to be roughly 60% of the film’s shares.

His son, Ram Charan, who is the producer of the film, will be walking away with 40% of the shares, which roughly totals to Rs. 22 crore.

Though there is no clarity regarding the film’s box office collections, sources in the trade opine that it could have grossed Rs. 100 crores approximately.

Directed by VV Vinayak, the film was produced by Surekha Konidela, Chiranjeevi’s wife and Ram Charan Teja, his son, under their home banner Konidela Productions. Lyca Productions and A Subashkaran distributed the film.

Khaidi No 150 is the remake of the AR Murugadoss directorial Kaththi, which had Vijay and Samantha in the lead roles.

The Telugu version has Kajal Agarwal pairing up with the megastar.
