The makers of the Ram Charan Teja starrer Rangasthalam 1985 are busy with the shooting as the deadline for the film’s release is scheduled on March 31 next year.

While the film is still in the shooting stages, we hear that the Hindi satellite rights have been sold out for a humongous price. Going by certain reports, the film has reportedly fetched Rs. 10 crore for the Hindi satellite rights alone.

Further, reports suggest that a popular Telugu satellite channel has shelled out a huge amount for its Telugu rights. This proves that the pre-release business of Rangasthalam is going on as expected.

Directed by Sukumar, the period drama is being bankrolled on a budget of Rs. 45 crore by Naveen Yerneni, Y Ravi Shankar, Mohan Cherukuri, Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan under the banner Mythri Movie Makers with Surekha Konidela presenting it.

Ram Charan and Samantha Akkineni are playing the lead pair in this flick with Jagapathi Babu, Rambha, Gouthami and Aadhi Pinisetty in important roles. Pooja Hegde will be seen making a special appearance in a song.

Devi Sri Prasad has composed music for this film with R Rathnavelu working on the camera and Navin Nooli editing it. Sources close to the Rangasthalam film unit say that the team will be wrapping up the shooting later this month and the post production would begin.

Earlier, there were plans to release Rangasthalam for Sankranti but this was postponed as Pawan Kalyan’s film is gearing up for release at that time.

Expectations are high on Rangasthalam as it has Ram Charan and Samantha pairing up on the silver screens for the first time. Further, director Sukumar is riding high on success with his last outing, Nanaku Prematho, which had Jr NTR in the lead turning out to be a big hit.
