Here's how much director Atlee is charging after Theri's success

Written by : TNM

Following the success of Theri at the box-office, director Atlee, who is just two films old, has reportedly hiked his remuneration for the next project to Rs 3 crore.

Theri has been raking in the moolah at the box office in many overseas markets including North America, where the film is inching towards the $1 million mark.

“I need some time to unwind before I commence my next project. Talks are on with the right people and I will make an official announcement once everything gets finalized,” said Atlee.

Speculations are rife that Atlee had met Mahesh Babu a few weeks back on the sets of ‘Brahmotsavam’ in Hyderabad and narrated a script to him. There are also reports that Atlee is in talks with Sivakarthikeyan for a potential collaboration. However, Atlee has neither denied nor confirmed the reports.

Atlee is currently busy with the Jiiva and Sri Divya-starrer ‘Sangili Bungili Kathava Thora’ which he is jointly producing with Fox Star Studios under his newly-floated production house A for Apple. Billed as a no-nonsense thriller, the film is directed by Ike Hari, an erstwhile associate of Kamal Haasan.

Atlee started his career as an assistant director to Shankar in Enthiran, Nanban, and debuted as a director with Raja Rani.
