Here’s why Hansika is not yet ready for women-centric films

Written by : TNM

Mostly known for playing the bubbly, girl-next-door heroine, Hansika Motwani believes she isn’t mature and experienced enough to take up women-centric projects yet. Although she looks forward to such projects, she feels it’s too early for her to deviate from her already chosen successful path.

“When the time comes, I will do female-centric films for sure. Right now, I have the tag ‘commercial heroine’. My resume says the same as well. All these years, I have churned out commercial hits. I am just five years old in the industry and I think I would need more experience and maturity to pull off a woman-centric movie. I am currently enjoying the films that I am being offered,” Hansika told Deccan Chronicle.

Hansika’s latest Tamil outing Bogan hits the screens on Thursday, and the film marks her third collaboration with Jayam Ravi. Apparently, she had a ball working with Ravi, and said that their chemistry worked well on screen, thanks to their long-standing friendship. “Once, Ravi and I spent an entire day laughing throughout when everybody else was ready to roll. It was a riot," she said.

Directed by Lakshman, the film also stars Arvind Swami in a pivotal role.
