He groped me in the bus: Women speak about the first time they faced sexual harassment

"When I was seven-years-old, I was cycling with my friend and one guy came up to me and asked me to translate a pamphlet. Being a kid, I innocently translated it and it contained obscene things. After which, I was leaving home, he again came up to me and asked to translate a bit more. I did, after that he told me to wait and he showed me his penis. I was shocked and cycled away quickly," says a woman describing her first brush with sexual harassment.

In a powerful video recently released by Old Delhi Films, several women speak about their "first experience of sexual harassment" and how disturbing the incident was for them.

Most of them faced sexual harassment at a very young age and their perpetrators were both people they knew and also complete strangers. And unfortunately, their first experience, like that of many other women in the country, was not their last.

Their message to others is straight- those suffering need to speak up because changing your dressing style or your way to work or home will not do much.
