This Hartal tracker app for Kerala could be the next best invention - or is it?

The News Minute | January 28, 2015 | 09.20 am ISTDo you live in Kerala? Are you tired of keeping up with all the latest updates on when the next hartal in your city is and whether you could have access to booze on a day preceding a strike? How about an application that lets a user know when the next hartal is along with details of the place, time and services that could be affected because of it. Not only will it tell you some essential life-sustaining details like determining which day is a a dry day, it could also update one on the status of seasonal flu outbreaks so as to be updated on whether buying meat is a good option. Even an alert if a hartal gets cancelled and its no longer a holiday for you!The idea for the app does sound cool. However, these UI designs for the hartal app are far from real.Designed by Hiran Venugopalan , this is a mock idea. 'The design is not a real app. Why design this? Just to show how useless hartals are," says Hiran.Read- How is the BJP different from Left or Congress in Kerala?Tweet
