GV Prakash and Aishwarya Rajesh to play siblings in Mani Ratnam’s next production?

Quite a few days ago, there was a buzz that the musician turned actor GV Prakash will be playing the lead role in Mani Ratnam’s next production venture. The latest reports on this project by Madras Talkies are that it will have Aishwarya Rajesh in the star cast as well.

Sources in the know say that GV Prakash and Aishwarya Rajesh will be playing siblings in this yet to be titled flick. The entire story will be on these two characters and they will have a meaty role to play, add sources.

Dhanasekar, an erstwhile associate of Mani Ratnam will be wielding the megaphone for this venture and Mani Ratnam has co-written the film.

It may be mentioned here that GV Prakash is busy with a slew of projects on his hands right now. His next film release would be Sarvam Thaala Mayam, a musical drama that has been written and directed by Rajiv Menon. 

The film stars GV Prakash Kumar and Aparna Balamurali in the lead with Nedumudi Venu, Vineeth, Santha Dhananjayan and Kumaravel in supporting roles. Out of the six songs, four songs in the album were composed by AR Rahman and one each by Rajiv Menon and Tyagaraja.

The Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman had released the tracklist of this album on a social networking site.

Ravi Yadav is the cinematographer for this venture with Anthony being the editor. The film is produced by Latha Menon under the banner Mindscreen Film Institute. Sarvam Thaala Mayam is set for release on February 1st.

GV Prakash’s other projects that are in different stages of production include Jail, Kuppathu Raja, Adangathey, 4G, Watchman, 100% Kadhal, Kaadhalai Thedi Nithya Nandha and Rettai Kombu. On the music front, he has confirmed he’ll team up with Suriya for a yet-untitled project with director Sudha Kongara next year.
