Grand sets and majestic visuals await those who will watch Prabhas’s upcoming film.

Tentatively titled Jaan, the movie is a period film and was initially planned to be shot with a lot of graphics. However, it has now been decided to shoot the movie in sets erected specifically for the movie. As the film is set in the 1970s’ Europe, the filmmakers intend to recreate the sets instead of opting for computer graphics as it will reduce the workload and expenses.

Award-winning Art Director Sabu Cyril is in charge of the sets, for which a major portion of the budget has been allocated. Sources say that a couple of sets have already been built and has come out impressively.

Jaan, directed by KK Radha Krishna, is being bankrolled jointly by Gopi Krishna Movies and UV Creations. Chandrasekar Yeleti has penned the story. While Prabhas is playing the male lead, Pooja Hegde has been signed to play the female lead role in the movie. It is being shot simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu and is expected to be released for Christmas this year. Amit Trivedi has been roped in to compose the music for this flick.

The Baahubali star’s latest movie was Saaho directed by Sujeeth. This magnum opus was bankrolled by V Vamshi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati under the banner UV Creations on a budget of Rs 300 crore. The film’s starcast included Neil Nitin Mukesh, Lal, Arun Vijay, Mandira Bedi, Jackie Shroff, Vennela Kishore, Mahesh Manjrekar and Chunkey Pandey in supporting roles. While Prabhas played the male lead in this action entertainer, Shraddha Kapoor shared the screen space with him as his heroine. The technical crew of this film included R Madhi handling the cinematography and A Sreekar Prasad editing. Saaho was dubbed in Hindi and Tamil as well considering Prabhas’s huge popularity across the country.
