The News Minute | December 14, 2014 | 3:35 pm ISTOn Bollywood actor-filmmaker Raj Kapoor’s 90th birth anniversary Google decided to pay homage to the late actor with a special doodle dedicated to him on its homepage.The doodle shows the actor in his legendary avatar from his film ‘Awara’ with the Google placard placed on his shoulder.The background of the doodle showcases the pictorial representation of one of Hindi cinema's most iconic romantic rain scene featuring the actor and Nargis Dutt sharing an umbrella in heavy rain from the song ‘Pyar Hua Ikrar Hua’ Apart from being two-time National Award recipient, Raj Kapoor was also a noted actor, director and producer. His most memorable performances include Sangam, Mera Naam Joker,Chori Chori, Shree 420 and Anari, among many others.Raj Kapoor suffered from asthma in his later years and died of complications related to the disease in 1988 at the age of 63.
