Google commemorates India's 66th Republic Day

The News Minute | January 26, 2015 | 9:20 am IST Google on Monday has come out with a colorful doodle to commemorate India's 66th Republic Day on its India home page.The doodle shows a decorated tableau with flowers passing through Rajpath - the location of the celeberations in the heart of Delhi. The tableau showcases India Gate and the Rashtrapati Bhawan, and the path between the two monuments.Men and women dressed in traditional Indian attire are seen waving from the tableau. The Google logo is inscribed in yellow color at the bottom of the decorated path.India celebrates its 66th Republic Day today, showcasing before chief guest US President Barack Obama who held talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, in a bid to strengthen ties between the two countries.TweetFollow @thenewsminute
