'Geetha Govindam' TV premiere a grand success

Geetha Govindam, on its theatrical release, turned out to be one of the biggest hits of the year. The film premiered on TV recently and went on to get the highest rating ever proving that it is an undisputed hit. When it premiered on Zee Telugu, its rating reached 20.8 points, confirm trade sources.

Geetha Govindam premiered in the US on August 14 and in India a day later; and is doing well at the Box Office as well. It was well received by film buffs, critics and even celebrities.

The film is about the lead pair – Geetha played by Rashmika Mandanna and Govind played by Vijay Devarakonda. What happens to the lead pair forms the story of Geetha Govindam.

Produced by Bunny Vas under his banner GA2 Pictures, the film is directed by Parasuram, whose last outing was Srirastu Subamastu. Ace producer Allu Aravind presented Geetha Govindam. The actors playing supporting roles in the film are Vennela Kishore, Subbaraju, Rahul Ramakrishna, Sandhya Janak, Kalyani N and Abhay Bethiganti.

The technical crew of Geetha Govindam includes Gopi Sunder for music, Martand K Venkatesh for editing, Manikandan for camera work, and Ramana Vanka for art direction.

Geetha Govindam was made on a budget of Rs 10 crores and collected Rs 130 crores at the Box Office, which speaks of its commercial success.

It may be noted here that Geetha Govindam is the biggest hit in actor Vijay Devarakonda’s career after the massive success of Arjun Reddy, which catapulted him to the star status. However, the star’s next release after Arjun Reddy, NOTA, turned out to be box office dud following which his fans are waiting eagerly for the release of Taxiwala.
