The regular shooting of Thala Ajith Kumar’s next yet-untitled project, which officially commenced in the first week of August in Bulgaria, was wrapped up early this month.

The crew is currently on a break in Chennai and the second schedule will commence in Hyderabad this week.

Meanwhile, the initial plan of the makers was to unveil the first look along with the title on Diwali day.

However, according to reliable sources, the makers are planning to release the first look on Pongal day and movie is scheduled for a Tamil new year release.

Tipped to be a spy thriller, the film will see Ajith Kumar as an Interpol officer, who investigates a murder in Chennai, which leads him to different parts of the world.

Directed by Siva and bankrolled by Sathyajyothi Films, Thala57 has Kajal Aggarwal playing the female lead while Akshara Haasan will be seen in a pivotal role with scope for stunts.

The music for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
