ET editorial director Rahul Joshi quits to join Network 18 as Editor-in-Chief

After almost a decade in one of India's most read and influential business papers, the Economic Times's Editorial Director Rahul Joshi resigned from his position at Bennett, Coleman and Co Ltd. yesterday following an offer from the Mukesh Ambani owned Network 18 Media and Investements Ltd. to join as CEO News and Group Editor-in-Chief.

Sources say that his role will include overseeing news operations of the TV channels, websites and magazines. The list could include CNBCTV18, CNN-IBN, Firstpost and Forbes among others.

In an email sent to Network 18 employees, AP Parigi, the Group CEO, said, 

Dear Team Members,

 

I am delighted to announce the appointment of  Rahul Joshi as CEO News and Group Editor-in-Chief. 

 

Rahul is presently Editorial Director, The Economic Times, and an outstanding leader with stirring success behind him in all formats of the media.


On behalf of the Board of Directors of Network 18 ,  I warmly welcome Rahul and look forward to his immense expertise to help NW 18 be even more successful in News.
