'Eradane Sala' producer to pull film from theatres, re-release it later

Written by : TNM Staff

Director Guruprasad’s Eradane Sala, released on March 3, has been receiving a good response at the box office. However, the film’s producer Yogesh Narayan has decided to pull the film from theatres, and re-release it in April or May.

According to the producer, although the film has received a strong positive response from audiences, the lack of screens for the film has spoiled its collections at the box office. He also alleged that director Guruprasad did not help in promoting the film properly.

As a result, Yogesh has decided to re-release the film after a proper promotional campaign. The film was in the making since January 2014, and was put on the backburner for a long time for various reasons. However, the producer blamed the director for the delay.

Written and directed by Guruprasad, Eradane Sala stars Dhananjay, Sangeetha Bhatt and Lakshmi, besides Avinash, Keerthi Shankaraghatta and Padmaja Rao. Anoop Seelin wrote the tunes for this flick, and Samrat Ashok Goutham had done the camera work for it.
