Written by : TNM

Dulquer Salmaan has been expanding his acting horizons carefully and steadily. He made his acting debut with the Malayalam film Second Show in 2012 and since then has acted in a couple of Tamil films.

His Tamil debut was with the Balaji Mohan directorial Vaayai Moodi Pesavum and he then went on to star in ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam’s OK Kanmani. Later, OK Kanmani was made in Hindi with Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor playing the lead pair.

And now, Dulquer is all set to make his debut in Bollywood with Karwan. The film’s shooting started in Ooty and is progressing steadily. Directed by Akarsh Khurana, who had co-written the script with Hussain Dalal, the film is being bankrolled by Ronnie Screwvala. Though Akarsh Khurana is wielding the megaphone for the first time, he has written films such as Hamshakals and Krrish 3.

Sharing screen space with Dulquer in this film are Irrfan Khan and Mithila Palkar. According to reports, Dulquer Salmaan will be seen playing a Bengalurean in the movie. Posting a pic of herself and her co-stars on Instagram, Mithila Palkar wrote: “Here we go! My lovely co-actors don't have any idea what they've gotten themselves into by obliging for pictures #Karwaan #Day2 #RSVP#HumansofKarwaan.”

Enquiries about Karwaan revealed that it belongs to the comedy genre. Reports say that buddies Dulquer Salmaan and Irrfan Khan embark on a road trip and what happens during it forms the crux of the film.

According to a report published by the Indian Express, the film crew will be travelling from Ooty to Kochi to shooting a major portion of the film. With Dulquer making his Bollywood debut, his fans across the globe are excited for Karwaan to hit the marquee.
