Dulquer Salmaan trains hard for ‘The Zoya Factor’

Actor Dulquer Salmaan, who made his debut in Bollywood with Karwaan recently, is currently busy with his second Hindi film. The actor plays the Indian cricket captain in The Zoya Factor, a film based on the novel with the same title. Taking his role seriously and to get it right, Dulquer has been undergoing rigorous cricket practice sessions. Some photos of the star in practice have already being circulating online much to the delight of his fans.

Malayalam filmmaker Saji Surendran, who had joined the actor for the cricket practice, posted a few pictures of the practice sessions and wrote on his Facebook page: “Enjoyed four days cricket practice session with DQ in our county indoor nets Kochi... Mumbai player and coach Mr Vinod Raghavan gave training to DQ for his new Hindi movie The Zoya factor, in which he is doing the role of Indian cricket team captain.... Best wishes for the movie…”

Dulquer is being trained by well-known cricketer and Coach Vinod Raghavan.

The film is based on the novel penned by Anuja Chauhan. It is about an advertising agency executive, Zoya Singh Solanki getting to meet the Indian Cricket Team and turning out to be their lucky mascot which eventually helps the team to lift the Cricket World Cup in 2010.

Sonam Kapoor will be playing the main lead in the film and Dulquer Salmaan will be seen as Nikhil Khoda, the captain of the Indian cricket team, say sources. Slated for release in April next year, The Zoya Factor, directed by Abhishek Sharma, will be bankrolled jointly by Fox Star Studios and Adlabs Films.

Recently, Dulquer had wrapped up his Tamil movie Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal. He also has the Tamil film Vaan, directed by RA Karthik needing his attention besides the Malayalam film Oru Yamandan Premakadha.
