Film buffs have been waiting eagerly to know the title of Dulquer Salmaan’s first production venture and finally the announcement is out officially. The official social media handle of the production house put out the title poster with the caption: “Here is the title poster for Wayfarer Films Production number one. Maniyarayile Ashokan. It’s a special film and we are introducing 5 technicians with the film. It’s important for me to introduce new talent. Debutant director Shamzu Zayba, debutant DoP Sajad Kakku, debutant writers Vineeth Krishnan & Magesh Boji, debutant music director Sreehari K Nair, debutant still photographer Shuhaib SBk. It’s a sweet and fun idea and we’ve put in everything to make sure it translates to that on screen. A big shoutout to Ramesh Pisharody for suggesting the name.”
Anupama Parameswaran, Nikhila Vimal and Anu Sithara will be playing the female leads in this film with Jacob Gregory playing the male lead. Anupama Parameswaran will also be working as an assistant director in the film. Dulquer would also be playing a small role in his production venture.
Meanwhile, the star is busy with the Srinath Rajendran directorial Kurup. The film is scripted by Daniell Sayooj Nair and KS Aravind while Jithin K Jose has penned the story. Kurup is based on one of the longest unsolved cases in Kerala till date. Reports are that a lot of research has gone into the project.
Dulquer is also expecting the release of two Tamil movies – Vaan and Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal this year. Vaan directed by RA Karthik is a travel-based script. The film is being shot in multiple locations. Priya Bhavani Shankar, who was last seen in Karhi's Kadai Kutty Singam has been roped in to play Dulquer’s romantic interest in the film. It also stars Kalyani Priyadarshan and Kriti Kharbhanda as the other leads.
