Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan has a number of exciting projects up his sleeve this year.
Known for his successful films like O Kaadhal Kanmani, Bangalore Days and Kammatipaadam, the actor has now bagged his second Hindi film.
Dulquer is getting on board the on-screen adaptation of the wildly popular 2008 novel called The Zoya Factor by Anuja Chauhan, also starring Sonam Kapoor. The official announcement is yet to be made by the production team.
The film will be based on a young woman who becomes the Indian Cricket Team’s lucky charm for the 2010 Cricket World Cup and as a result, is catapulted into fame.
The rights for The Zoya Factor along with Chauhan’s another novel, Battle for Bittora were bought by Sonam Kapoor earlier. In August last year, the actor took to Twitter to confirm her involvement in the on-screen adaptation of The Zoya Factor.

It was announced earlier that Dulquer will be acting in Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyan.
According to recent reports, however, Abhishek Bachchan has replaced Dulquer Salmaan as the lead in Manmarziyan. This film marks Abhishek’s comeback after a short hiatus of two years. Manmarziyan will also star Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal in important roles.
Dulquer's Bollywood debut film Karwan directed by Akash Khurana will soon hit the screens. Having written several successful screenplays, this film will be Akash’s first directorial venture.
Karwan has Dulquer playing the lead along with Irrfan Khan, Kriti Kharbanda and Mithila Palkar in the supporting roles.
Dulquer’s last bilingual film Solo did not do so well in the box-office. The actor is currently filming his trilingual film, Mahanati, which is a biographical drama based on the life of south Indian actress, Savitri.
