Dulquer Salmaan’s performance in the stage show Amma Mazhavillu was a big hit. Apart from appearing in a skit that was staged throughout the show, he also performed two dance sequences, which had his fans thrilled to no end. But the audiences did not realize that Dulquer was undergoing severe pain just to entertainer them.
Revealing about it, Mammootty’s costume designer Abhijit Nair wrote on a social media page: “He would wear Alauddin’s costume and rest at the green room with an ice pack on his leg. The next moment he would change the costume and go onto the stage for the dance performances. It was really scary for us who watched him do that.”
Dulquer suffered a fracture in the leg while practicing for the stage show but did not want to disappoint the audiences. He, therefore, decided to bear all the pain while entertaining the audiences.
Dulquer Salmaan, recently made his debut in Tollywood with the Savitri biopic Mahanati, which turned out to be a big hit. The biopic was released in Tamil under the title Nadigayar Thilagam. His Bollywood debut will happen in August with Karwaan gearing up for release on August 14.
The star also has the Hindi film The Zoya Factor which is an adaptation of the novel by the same title. He will be sharing the screen space with Sonam Kapoor in the film which will start rolling a couple of months later. Dulquer also has the Tamil film Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithal under production right now.
