Director Suni, who shot to limelight with the film Simple Aagi Ondh Love Story, is currently busy donning the director’s robes for Operation Alamelamma.

The director has two other movies to his credit till date apart from Simple Aagi Ondh Love Story and they are Bahuparak, and Simple Agi innond Love Story.

The first teaser of Operation Alamelamma released late last year garnered the attention of film buffs, which has created an expectation for it. Starring Manish Rishi as Purmy, and Shraddha Srinath as Ananya, the film also stars Rajesh Nataranga, Aruna Balaraj, Vijeth Gowda, Pranaya Murthy, Sumukha and Karthik in the star cast.

On releasing the teaser, the director went on to explain, “The hero who is a vegetable vendor has this craze for bidding. He is also fascinated by big brands, but flaunts around fake brand clothing. His craze for brands traps him in a crime situation. Usually a movie plot revolves around a boy chasing after a girl, but here the hero is on a pursuit to find his parents as he is an orphan.”

Incidentally, the filmmakers had planned a unique teaser launch and had a vegetable vendor from a market in Bengaluru release it.

Elaborating further, the director pointed out that the second teaser would be released by a teacher as Shradhha plays a teacher in the movie.

This Kannada film, touted to be a suspense comedy thriller is produced by Amrej Suryavanshi and Suni under the banners Suni Cinemas and StarFab. Music for the venture has been composed by Judah Sandy while Abishek Sandy has cranked the camera and Sachin has edited it.

Reports are that the film has reached the final stages of production and is gearing for release next month. The release date will be announced once its locked, add sources.
