Mahesh Babu’s fans have been excited, ever since it was revealed that the actor would be playing a politician in his upcoming film Bharath Ane Nenu.

The actor is essaying the role of a Chief Minister for the first time in his career, which is why many fans have paid close attention to the film, since it went on the floors.

As there was a lot of speculation doing the rounds, that he might take jibes on existing politicians by criticising them, director Koratala Siva addressed the media, to make some clarifications.

According to the director, Bharat Ane Nenu is neither inspired from any real life politician nor is it about the current political situation.

In simple terms, the film is completely fictitious and has been made out of his pure imagination. The director repeated the disclaimer that any character or events in the film that bore resemblance to the real political situation, were purely coincidental.

However, he made it clear that Mahesh Babu will be playing the role of the Chief Minister in it. Despite the political tinge, Bharat Ane Nenu will have loads of comedy, action and family drama, the director said.

Written and directed by Koratala Siva, the film is produced under the banner DVV Entertainments. It has the MS Dhoni: The Untold Story fame Kiara Advani playing the female lead.

The film’s shooting commenced late last month and the team is working hard to ensure that it is out at the theatres for Sankaranti next year.

Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu’s fans are waiting eagerly for the release of his Spyder on September 27 this year.
