Dileep signs his next with director Shafi

Dileep’s last outing at the box office, Kammara Sambhavam, released on April 14 this year, was well received by his fans. The actor, who stands accused in the abduction and sexual assault of his woman colleague, is out on bail and working on his next.

The news here is that his next is being directed by Shafi and is penned by the Rafi – Shafi brothers. The film will be going on to the floors in July this year and is scheduled for release in December. Reports are that it will be a Christmas release.

Interestingly, this is not the first time Dileep and Shafi are teaming up as they had done so for Two Countries which turned out to be a blockbuster hit in their career. On the other hand, Rafi had worked with Dileep in a couple of films such as Punjabi House and Thenkashipatnam.

News about the star and crew of the film is awaited but it has not been revealed yet. According to reports, the team is working on the title and is busy with the pre-production work right now. More details will be out soon.

Dileep also has two other films lined up. While one is Professor Dinkan, which is being directed by Ramachandra Babu, the other is Keshu Ee Veedinte Nadhan for which Nadhirsha will be wielding the megaphone.

The actor has three films gearing up for release this year in quick succession. The star’s Ramaleela, which released in September last year, was a big hit and he topped it up with Kammara Sambhavam this year.
