Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone is making waves with her Hollywood debut opposite Vin Diesel in XXX: Return of Xander Cage. Lauded for her kickass performance, chemistry with Vin and action scenes, Deepika is now in the news again for making her first American talk show appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres show.

The episode aired in the US on Wednesday and saw Deepika Padukone talk about her father, her brief stint with badminton and also some juicy tidbits about her equation with her XXX co-star. 

Deepika says that her father, Prakash Padukone, would have liked to see her follow his lead and pursue badminton professionally. "At the same time he always said follow your heart," she adds. And when she told them about her dream to become an actor, her parents were quite supportive, she says.

Deepika also talks about how she bagged the role in XXX: it was through a phone call from Paramount Pictures, who remembered her from the audition she gave for The Fast and the Furious 7. She flew down to Los Angeles after the call and a photoshoot with Vin - all the while not knowing whether this meant she had been signed on for the film. 

In a candid and humorous moment, when Ellen asks Deepika about her alleged romance with Vin, Deepika smiles shyly and says, "There's no smoke without fire... but it's all in my head!" 

She admits sheepishly, "In my head, I think we are together and we have this amazing chemistry. We live together and we have these amazing babies...but it's all in my head."
