Dhruva Sarja’s 'Bharjari' scores a hit at the box office

Dhruva Sarja is just three films old, but his success with the latest release Bharjari has catapulted him to a ‘star’ status instantly.

According to sources in the trade, such an unprecedented collection at the box office has never been witnessed in the history of Sandalwood.

Directed by Chetan Kumar, Bharjari has been produced by R Srinivas and Sreekanth KP under the banner RS Productions.

The film was released on September 15, in about 294 screens and went on to collect Rs. 16 crore during the opening weekend.

Incidentally, Bharjari was made on a budget of Rs 10 crore and managed to collect Rs 16 crore in just three days. Trade sources opine that the collections could soar considering the positive reviews.

Bharjari stars Dhruva Sarja and Rachita Ram in the lead roles with Hariprriya, Vaishali Deepak, Sudha Rani, Tara, Srinivasa Murthy, Sai Kumar, Bharath Gowda and Avinash in supporting roles.

Trade reports revealed that the film went on to collect Rs. 9.80 crore on Friday and Saturday while it was collected Rs. 5.5 crore on Sunday.

The technical crew of the film includes V Harikrishna for music, Shreesha Kuduvalli for cinematography, and Deepu S Kumar for editing.

With a massive response for Bharjari, the filmmakers are planning to have it released in other states as well and the strategy for it is being worked out.

The film’s lead star, Dhruva Sarja made his acting debut in 2012 with Addhuri and went on to act in Bhaddhur in 2014.

It took him three long years to have his third film released and the wait seemed to be well worth it.
