Director RS Durai Senthilkumar will be directing National Award winning actor Dhanush for the second time in his career. The first time they had associated as actor and director was for Kodi, a political action thriller. Prior to Kodi, Dhanush had produced Edhir Neechal and Kaaki Sattai under his banner and both these films were directed by Durai Senthilkumar.

Sharing a strong rapport, they are now all set to work together again. Reports from tinsel town have confirmed that this project will go on the floors on March 6 now that the groundwork has been completed. The shooting will begin at a picturesque location in Kutralam.

In the film, which has not been titled yet, Dhanush will be playing dual roles of father and son. Sneha had been roped in to play the female lead and she will be paired opposite the older Dhanush. The film will also have another heroine to pair up with the younger Dhanush. The filmmakers are in the process of selecting this heroine.

The music director duo Mervin and Vivek have been signed up to compose tunes for this venture. Sources in the know say that the film will be a late 2019 release.

In the meantime, Dhanush is expecting the release of Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta, a romantic action thriller written, directed and co-produced by Gautham Vasudev Menon. The film has Megha Akash as the heroine with Sunaina and Sasikumar in pivotal roles. Rana Daggubati will be making a cameo appearance in the film along with the director Gautham Menon himself. Santhosh Krishna will be playing the main villain in the film.

The technical crew of Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta include Darbuka Siva for music, Jomon T John and Manoj Paramahamsa for cinematography, and Sathya Anthony for editing. The film is produced jointly by P Madan and Gautham Vasudev Menon under their banners Escape Artists Motion Pictures and Ondraga Entertainment respectively.
