Filmmaker Bejoy Nambiar, who embarked into the world of Bollywood with his film ‘Shaitaan’ is all set to come with his new film in Hindi which will be a remake of Mani Ratnam's Agni Nakshatram - the blockbuster of 1988.

There were reports going around that Bejoy Nambiar had approached

Vicky Kaushal and Harshvardhan Rane to play the lead roles. But both declined the offers, as they were busy with other shooting schedules.

Mani Ratnam’s superhit movie Agni Nakshatram saw Karthik and Amala play important roles along with Nirosha. The movie was a blockbuster and completed a 200-day run at the box office.

If grapevine is to be believed, Bejoy Nambiar has approached Dhanush to reprise the role of Karthik in the film, though there is no official confirmation yet.
